Blue Flux on Twitter
A small step for man...

24. April 2012
...but a big-ish leap for Blue Flux. Hitting the 1K mark on our favourite network is reason for modest celebration. Cheers all!

Studio snaps

20.March.2012 - no sooner said than done: updated studio pics are now up.

Collider Two's company

11.March 2012
- With Collider, our second new song, in the bag I thought now might be a good time to give these pages a quick once-over. There's a new 'Work In Progress' page to capture all our new songs as they emerge, blinking, from their studio lair.
You probably won't even notice all the other little housekeeping tweaks. One item still missing is a new photo of our upgraded studio; I hope to have that seen to shortly.
Finally, we are heading towards the big 1K followers on Twitter. Small fry for some, a big deal for us. So if you aren't yet and fancy a bit of extra light and shade on your Twitter timeline, please follow us. We usually tweet no more than once or twice a day, so you don't even need to buy yourself a larger screen.

                                          - Drawing The Line First new line drawn

04.Feb.2012
- It took a little longer than expected, but our first new song post studio upgrade is now complete. Let's say the learning curve wasn't as steep as it was long. Well worth it though. Corner turned. Dazzling horizon ahead.
The new song is called Drawing The Line and it's ready and waiting for you here.

The year that was, and a present

 23.Dec.2011
- It's that time again to take stock. At year's end
I'm pleased to report zero system defects here at Blue Flux Central. But 2011 sure had its fair share of stampeding madness, headless panic and last minute resolutions. Most of these were connected to our Shooting Star launch. Par for the course though, and - with hindsight - gladly suffered for the joy of feeling the steady heartbeat of a new album.
Picsty
Other fruits from moderately hard labour were our new videos ('my twisted life at the screen of green'), this new website layout, and Blue Flux's overdue touchdown on Twitter (surprisingly fun) and SoundCloud (ace interface). The final big push this year was to upgrade our studio (Sonar X1, in case you care) and then regain the confidence to create new & better music. As I type this the first half-finished new song awaits my eager return to the studio, so it seems all's well that ends well.
It being the season of giving, I've added a new Shooting Star track to the free download section: Picsty (p.a.). Enjoy, and have a whopping good New Year.

                        the fight against homelessness!
Everyone should have a home

Most of us feel sorry for them, and probably toss a coin in the box once in a while. Yeah, some might be faking it. But that doesn't make homelessness any easier for those still huddled in doorways as night falls.
Recent cutbacks in council budgets affect us all. But for those already hanging on by their fingernails every new cut could also be their last. And it just doesn't seem right that people already deprived of what the rest of us take for granted should perhaps be forced to pay the ultimate price. Nor that those who've barely clung on to their homes might soon receive that letter they've been dreading the most.
If you feel the same way, please help by contacting your local MP here, or learn what else can be done by visiting the Shelter charity foundation.

Badger culls don't work!
Most scientists agree - culls are simply political gestures that don't tackle the core issues of bovine TB. Support farmers with cash, not corpses, and seek a long-term medical solution.

Fink

Icicle
                        Star
Fink is a unique UK band we've followed since way back. So it's all the more heartening to see them go from strength to strength as they tour every ounce of brilliance out of their new album Perfect Darkness.
The Boxer Rebellion - not only do these guys rock, but they do so unsigned, and on their own label. Which gives the likes of Blue Flux hope, and perspective. Thanks!
Check out their pages here.
You may not have heard of Andy Goldsworthy, but odds on you've glimpsed images of his unique landscape art. The innocence and poignant transience of his work is as breathtaking as it is life-affirming.
