2004, Just Dreams bears the fruits of all labour that
went
into the construction of the band's new Groundhog
Studio. The album positively bristles with new ideas, and features
intricately woven arrangements, fluid and highly dynamic grooves,
cutting-edge
effects, and of course the delicate trademark acoustic and electric
guitar
work.
One-and-a-half years of intense effort has yielded a musical package
that stands out. Though steeped in the same atmospheric rock tradition
as The Beach (1999), Just Dreams is perhaps more
revealing,
accessible, and subtle.
